Yesterday’s Tomorrow

Spoken word artist Precious Nnebedum delivers a powerful plea for humanity

Precious has worked for Radioigel since its foundation in 2011. This station’s very first podcast on a skatershop called Wallride was actually recorded by her sister Jessica. The shop’s long since been closed and the dreams of 2011 have changed, but the fascination of the two young  women from Nigeria with radio work holds true.

Here Precious presents one of her most powerful texts so far: poetic and thought-provoking, inspirational and graceful beyond belief.

Listen to the strong voice of a young Afro-European woman. Her vibrant words will echo in the hearts and minds of people around the world.

This text is also part of Meeting Leymah Gbowee here on With the International Day of Children’s Rights on November 20 and with the Human Rights Day on December 7 not too far away, it seemed only right to grant it this place of honour. Listen!
