Episode 3 – The Untold Blues of Quarantine

On this episode, Precious performs a spoken word poem that elaborates on the untold blues of quarantine. In this poem she talks about how the concept of quarantine and self-isolation is nothing new to some people and herself even. It is a powerful piece with the intention of raising awareness to an issue that to some is commonplaced behind their closed doors and to others probably completely unfamiliar.

If you ever get the chance to attend a spoken word or poetry slam event, do so! If not, enjoy a recorded version!

Episode 3 of qB is also a valuable resource for teachers. As more and more students are intrigued by the idea of presenting their own texts on a stage, Precious‘ performance might offer the nudge they’ve needed to finally take the plunge.
